Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! Our agency partners always maintain 100% ownership of their business.
We do not charge an initiation fee. Our one-time setup fee is $1495.
The only other fee associated with being a partner agency is $100/month, which provides access to EZLynx rating and management system. We pass on our discounted cost of $100 a month, which saves agencies nearly $5,000 a year when compared to retail pricing.
Our Market Access agencies can obtain outside appointments. If you become eligible for a direct appointment with one of our carriers, you're welcome to move that business at the start of the following year.
Nothing. As the most agent friendly market access solution in the industry, we don't have any fees or complicated non-compete agreements.
Complete an application and then our management team will review the application and contact to you to ensure it's a good fit for both you and us.
We also require that you have an active E&O policy. We can assist in helping you obtain a policy.
Commissions vary by carrier and product line. We strive to always pay FIG agents the most aggressive new and renewal commissions. We're often able to offer commission levels greater than what an agent would receive if they were directly appointed by leveraging the volume of our network. Please feel free to contact us for a current commission schedule.
No. We exclusively focus on preferred to high-net worth business. We're not a good fit for non-standard agencies.
We're unfortunately unable to allow agents to charge broker fees on any business placed through us.
Some of our most successful agencies have come from being captive agency owners and team members. However, if you're currently under contract with a captive insurance carrier and you do not have written authorization to broker outside of your captive, we're unable to work with you.
If you're separating from your captive relationship, we'd love to talk with you.
Additionally, if you're with another market access, alliance, cluster, aggregator or similar, we're unable to work with you while you're actively contracted with them.
Once you've met certain volume requirements, your agency name will appear on the declaration page, when a carrier permits. If your client ever calls our internal support team, the call will be seamlessly transferred to your agency. The client will have no idea they've contacted a third party.
Our agency partners have the opportunity to work with some of our carrier partners through a sub-code, which is contingent on an application to do business with that carrier. Obtaining a sub-code is at the discretion of our carriers and entails a separate application and approval process that we help facilitate.
We're currently accepting agencies in AZ, CA, NV, WA, CO, and IL. If you're in another state, please contact us for consideration.
We don't have any contractual production requirements. If you have a direct sub-code you will have annual production requirements with the carrier. The requirement is oftentimes much lower due to your affiliation with FIG.
Please email us to request a copy of our agency agreement.
That's your choice. Some carriers may require that you have a physical office to obtain a sub-code.
Our training and resource offering, including marketing, goal setting, and coaching, is always growing and changing. Contact us for specific details on our onboarding process for FIG agents!
